Colin and Andrew in the clown pool

Sorry the picture is sideways....lesson is learned, do not flip the camera like a video camera when recording a video.

BBQ's in the backyard

We have had some pretty great summer weather so far this season, so we have been able to spend a lot of time outside and not in the A/C inside. We had Colin and his friends Reagan and Andrew over for a BBQ last weekend. Reagan is in Colin's class at school and her mom is from Idaho!

Ending the party with Horton the Who movie.

Earlier this week it was warm enough to get out the clown pool. I will post a video later of Colin and Andrew sliding down the slide.

Colin and Sawyer hanging out in Andrew's backyard.

The below five boys will be causing terror in our neighborhood in just a few short years!

Peek-a-boo

It gets good around the 1:00 minute mark. Just a normal Friday morning with Dustin getting the boys ready for the day.

Boy's Night

While I was attending a work function on Thursday, Dustin had the boys alone for a night. Sawyer will only eat a few things, one of which is yogurt. It can be any form, in a drink, from a stick, or just the regular container....he loves it!

Morgan's Wedding

Dustin and I headed up to Philadelphia for my good friend Morgan's wedding. We were college roommates for all four years at Delaware.
We had a great time with our date Jessie and it was an amazing party.

Weekend in York, PA

We spent the weekend in York for my cousin Lindsey's wedding.

Here are Dustin and Gary right before the wedding started.

Donnie decided to be the "Grand Puba" for the evening to get a great parking spot for the reception.

Cousins Kristin and Kristen! Can you believe she had a baby 5 months ago!?!
On Father's Day Dustin went golfing with Mom and Rosemary so the boys and I went to the park with Donnie and hung around the house helping GG with gardening. Here is Sawyer talking on the phone to Aunt Ashley.

Colin and Sawyer focusing on their gardening work.

Dustin and his boys for their annual Father's Day photo.

Colin's Portrait of Mommy

Colin drew this picture of me a few weeks ago. He was in a portrait phase (he drew them of everyone he knew) but this one was his first and best drawing. I couldn't save it, but I was able to get a picture of it.

Colin and Sawyer Dancing to Jazz

Unfortunately I didn't get Sawyer dancing, but he was cutting a rug right before. Colin takes after Dustin in dancing skills.

Ice Cream

This has been the week of ice cream! The humidity has been horrible (we have been tracking it by how big Sue's hair gets and boy has it gotten big!) :)

Carousel Ride

The Park

On Sunday we took a drive to McLean to visit the park. This park was built a few years ago with donated land and was specially designed for kids with disabilities to play alongside everyone else. It's a great park and extremely popular.

The park also has a carousel in the middle of it. The boys were ver excited about it. For the first ride, Colin rode in the spinning cup and Sawyer rode the horse. The below picture of Colin and Nana Sue was taken right before Sue was asked to get out of the cup as it was only for kids. The second time we rode it Colin wanted to ride the zebra. By the end of the ride he didn't want anyone helping him, he wanted to do it by himself.

Nana Sue and Grandpa Dave Visit

Sue and Dave have been here since late Tuesday night. On Thursday they ventured to the National Zoo with the boys while Dustin and I were at work.

They were dropped off a little early (before the animals were out) so the boys played in pizza the playground at the bottom of the zoo. They were entertained for an hour!

When I picked them up at lunchtime everyone was looking a little beat....so we thought ice cream may lift their spirits.

We then stopped at Fairfax Corner for lunch. They have a water feature there that shoots water out of the ground. Its great for the kids and this was the first time Colin wasn't scared of it. He had a great time running around avoiding the water. This picture was taken right before he got some water in the face :) It's pretty funny how all the parents are trying to convince their kids to stand in the middle of the water and get soaked.....ah the joys of torturing your kids :)

We set-up the sprinkler in the front yard for the boys. Colin is wearing his "underwater glasses" and loves to run through (but I think he still closes his eyes). Sawyer avoids the sprinkler and baby pool at all costs....exactly like Colin did when he was that age.
