Colin's 3rd Birthday part 2

Sawyer snuck into one moonbounce and loved it.

All the transformers waiting patiently for their pizza and cake.

Colin blowing out his candles. In case you were wondering, Travis (my stepbrother) had to do major surgery on our melting ice cream cake before we got to the party. You can see the memo clips in the picture below holding the cardboard together. We had to remove about 1/4 of the cake that had melted (but it was enjoyed later by Dustin, Kira and I).

Sawyer was a big fan of the cake.

The older boys headed to the Air and Space museum with Dustin and Travis and had a great time.

Colin checking out his new Cars slippers he got from Grandma.

The boys having their second pizza meal of the day.

Graham made a new buddy, Roscoe, and he kept wrapping him up in a blanket and giving him his teddy bear to sleep with.

We threw all the kids outside on Sunday morning to play in the dirt pit. There were lots of fights and tears over shovels and buckets, but eventually they got a system going where everyone was happy. Unfortunately about 2 minutes later they all started trickling back inside (it was about 35 degrees out).

Andrew (from next door) was one of the first ones ready to come in.

Colin and Sawyer loved being chased and chasing their cousins Zach and Ethan around the house.

Colin's 3rd Birthday

We had a crazy weekend celebrating Colin's 3rd birthday. His cousins from NC came up to visit, so we had 6 boys between the ages of 13 months to almost 5 running around the house. And when I say running I really do mean running :)

Colin and the boys get to work.

Colin, Graham, Charlie, Ethan and Andrew get ready to bounce at Colin's birthday party.

Sawyer wasn't old enough to bounce, but he had a lot of fun in the fish chair.

All the party guests got a group picture in the big red chair.
Kira and I thought the kids shouldn't have all the fun.

A Real Man's Burger

This picture was taken specifically for my dad. This is a Lewiston, ID cheeseburger.

Christmas in Idaho Part 3

12/26: Ben cracking Sawyer up with funny faces.

12/27: Colin wearing Dustin's ski boots, helmet and goggles....or as Colin called them, his "fireman outfit".

12/27: Sawyer getting a bedtime story from Grandpa Dave.

12/28: Dustin and I conquer the mountain in Grangeville, ID. Unfortunately we weren't able to make it to the famous ski slopes in McCall, ID due to weather and road conditions. But, being the novice skiier that I am, that wasn't a bad thing :)

Me and my boys

12/30: Colin and Delt. Delt is the son of Dustin's best man Chris and his wife Candace. They came over to Lewiston for 2 days to hang out with us. It was the first time I had seen them since our wedding! The boys had a great time, lots of laughing....lots of wrestling....lots of hugs. This picture was taken at Tomato Brothers Italian restaurant where a whole group of us tagged along for Kenny and Denise's wedding anniversary dinner.

Colin telling Grandpa Dave and Nana Sue one of his famous stories.

12/31: Colin and Delt bonding over a movie....most likely Cars or Monsters, Inc.

12/31: Checking out the Christmas Lights in downtown Lewiston. It was raining pretty hard and Sawyer thought he was in his bathtub, he kept moving his arms up and down like he was splashing in the tub.

1/1: Sometime after midnight at Barleyhopper's.

1/1: Sawyer taking a walk around Nana Sue's circle.

1/1: Colin and Delt figured out on our last day in Lewiston that under the dining room table would be a great "helicopter".

1/1: Sawyer getting his hair done after his bath on our last night.

Christmas in Idaho Part 2

Christmas Eve: Colin took a nap with his red combine before Christmas Eve dinner. Grandpa Mick has quite the collection and Colin was in tractor heaven for the evening.

Family picture before dinner. Luckily this year Emily didn't set the bread basket towel on fire.

Christmas: We started bright and early around 630. It took Colin quite a while to get Aunt Emily up and of course we had tears before we had even opened the presents because we were making Colin wait.

Sawyer checking out his new book.

12/26: Colin and his "cousin" Robby. Robby is 7 weeks younger then Colin and the last time they saw each other they were only a few months old. Robby is the son of Dustin's friend Ben and his wife Marce. Dustin and Ben grew up together and Ben was a groomsmen in our wedding. The picture on the right is from July 2006.

Christmas in Idaho Part 1

We spent 10 days in Idaho for the holidays. It was our longest and best trip yet. The boys had a great time playing with Nana Sue and Grandpa Dave and their cousins. According to Colin, everyone in Idaho that he played with was his "cousin".

We landed to two feet of snow in Spokane, WA on 12/22 and drove through a blizzard to fly out of Spokane on 1/2. Along the way we went sledding in the front lawn, partied with family and friends many a night, skiied in the metropolis that is Grangeville, ID and celebrated New Year's Eve Lewiston, ID style. The boys did great on both flights and I think I may even be up for flying again with them in the near future. We can't wait for our next trip out!
12/23: The boys get a glimpse of the first Christmas snow in Lewiston since 1996.

12/23: Sawyer hanging out with his buddy Kenny at Grandpa Erle's birthday party. If you hear Colin say, "What the heck?" you can thank Kenny and Nana Sue for that :)

Trying to get a family photo for Grandpa Erle's birthday picture. Maybe its these shirts that make the boys not want to pose together?

12/24: Sledding on the front lawn with Cousin Sayler and Cousin Ryan.

Daddy and Colin climbing back up the hill.

Grandpa Dave and Colin checking out the hill in the backyard to see if it is suitable for sledding. Take a closer look to see if you can see Maggie peaking out from behind the grass.

Nana Sue and Sawyer watching from the warm side.
