Colin Making Pudding

He had a great time making pudding with Mommy. Unfortunately he saw me sneaking tastes, so every other turn he stuck his fingers in the pudding to taste test as well.

Father's Day

We spent Father's Day playing golf in the morning and BBQing in the backyard in the evening. Sawyer loved playing on the blanket, he stayed there for about 90 minutes just hanging out. It was a great day!

Colin Gets Political

Last night Dustin and I were on the couch watching the evening news. Sawyer was in his excersaucer and Colin was playing on the floor with his back to the TV. The third story of the night was about the election. Before Brian Williams even said anybody's name (but starting speaking of the election) we hear Colin say "Barack Obama". He was still playing on the floor, not facing the TV. Then when Brian Williams said Obama's name and showed the picture, I asked Colin who that was and he said "Barack Obama". The funny thing is, Dustin and I don't talk about the election very much at home, and when we do, we don't say the full name of the candidates.

I think it is now safe to say that we have another Democrat in the Best household :)
(or maybe Obama is now starting to do campaign ads on the Disney Channel)

Corn on the Cob

Last night Colin enjoyed his first ear of corn. I wasn't sure how he would take it....he hasn't been too interested in being adventurous with food lately. But as you can see, he loved it! (sorry for the red eye, I don't have a program downloaded on my new laptop to fix it yet).

Dustin and Sawyer enjoyed watching Colin eat his corn. Does Sawyer remind you of someone? Take a look at the top of his shirt.....we have another drooler!

Putting Colin to Work

Over the past few weeks Colin has gotten over his fear of the lawnmower running and has decided to start helping out his dad mow. We are so close to putting him to work we can taste it.... :)

Our weekend in York

We spent the weekend up in York so I could attend a high school friends wedding with Ashley and Mom. Colin had a great time at cousin Mattie's birthday party, although he spent the whole party sitting on the riding mower in the rain :)

As you can see from the picture, he is sporting quite a shiner from his fall on Friday morning at daycare. He is doing ok with it, but tends to blink a lot....we think it is from the small cut in the corner of his eye. Here he is sitting with Donnie watching the neighbor mow the lawn (of course).

After watching the lawn mower for a while, he decided he wanted to play in the car. This is his new favorite thing. He just sits in the front seat and pushes all the buttons, gets in and out, and moves from seat to seat. It's pretty cute, but nervewracking as he closes the doors so close to his hand. I know, it was a bad habit to start, but even worse to keep going....I blame it all on Dustin who was the first person to let him sit in the front seat. Here he is driving Ashley to "the beach".

Ashley and Sawyer had one of those classic baby - Aunt moments. She was holding him up in the air over her head and he spit up....unfortunately he missed her, but it was quite funny to see! Ashley was up pretty late from the wedding, so ignore the eye makeup (she is going to love that I posted this picture) :)
